Built on the road, by a bikepacker
I'm Camila, and I'm a bikepacker. My favourite trips are with friends, but my friends live all over the world, spread across continents and time zones. Planning a trip together meant a Google Doc for the dates, Komoot for the route (with stops, but no days or dates), a campsite website, Google Maps to find towns, and a lot of copying from one to the other.
Once we were on the road, it got harder. Family and friends wanted to know where we were, but all we could do was tell them. They couldn't see it on a map. None of us really post on social media, because we'd rather live in the moment. And every evening someone was Googling the weather, the sunset time, and where to eat or swim the next day.
Then there are the people. For us, the best part of bikepacking is staying with Warmshowers hosts. It becomes all about the people: the ones you ride with and the ones you meet. But asking for a stay was messy. We'd check the plan for where we'd be in three days, look up the town in another app, write the message from scratch, and figure out who in the crew was contacting whom.
So I built Zenda.
What Zenda does
One plan for the whole crew. Every day, every night and every stop on one map, with dates, even when you're planning from different time zones.
How you really travel. Riding days, rest days, and the train you caught when the weather turned.
A trip page for the people who care. Family, friends and the people you meet on the road can follow your route, see your photos and get to know your crew, without an account and without social media.
A story worth sharing, ready in a tap. When you do want to post, Zenda makes the picture for you: towns, kilometres and climbing if you want it, with any photo from the crew's timeline. Your friend posts the photo, and you share the story.
A companion for each day. Weather, sunset time and an AI briefing for every leg: where to stop for lunch, a viewpoint or a lake to swim in, the next supermarket and where to fill your bottles. Each place has a map link.
Asking a host in one tap. Pick the day, and Zenda drafts the message in the host's language with your dates, your town and a link to your trip. Hosts can see who's coming, where you've been and your photos, which makes it much easier for them to say yes.
What's next
We'd love to connect the riders you meet along the way: add them on Zenda, follow their trips, and see where they've ridden before.
Zenda is an independent app and isn't affiliated with Warmshowers, EuroVelo, Komoot or Google. Suggestions in the daily briefing are generated by AI from public map data, so always check opening hours and conditions on the ground.
